PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)

PCR is a technique used in molecular biology to make copies of a specific DNA segment. It involves three main steps: denaturation, where the DNA is heated to separate the double-stranded DNA into two single strands; annealing, where primers bind to the DNA; and extension, where DNA polymerase adds nucleotides to create a new DNA strand. This process is repeated multiple times to amplify the DNA, making it easier to study or analyze.
